Montenegro is a country of excursions, and there are some of them that can be considered the main directions:
- Cetinje, Lovcen are the historical heart of Montenegro;
- Boka Kotorska bay;
- Canyons of the river Tara and Morača, Durmitor, Black Lake, Djurdjevic Bridge;
- Skadar Lake, Virpazar and Rijeka Crnojevic;

Mount Lovcen raises not far from Cetinje. Here is the mausoleum of Peter Petrović-Njegoš, the tomb of the legendary ruler of Montenegro. You can enjoy an unforgettable view of the whole Montenegro from this place.
It is worth mentioning the pilgrimage tours to the monastery Ostrog, in the Danilovgrad neighbourhood. It is a place of exceptional importance for Orthodox culture, which is equivalent to the Mount of Athos in Greece.
Canyons
Canyons of the rivers Morača and Tara open up a beautiful mountain world for tourists.
The canyon of the Morača River is located in the place where the river cuts through the Plateau Gorge. The length of the canyon is 30 km, its depth is about a kilometer. The canyon is considered to be one of the most picturesque on the planet.
The huge canyon of the Tara River with a depth of 1.3 km and a length of 80 km. It is a part of the Durmitor National Park, a mountain and forest massif with a unique and virgin nature. Tara Canyon also attracts rafting lovers.
Excursions to the canyons, as a rule, include the Dzhurdzhevich Bridge, Dovolia Monastery, Pirlitor, Archangel Michael, Dobrilovin.
Skadar Lake
Lake Skadar is the largest and most beautiful lake in the Balkans. It is a cultural and historical reserve under the UNESCO protection, a National Park, a “bird’s airfield” in Europe, the birthplace of Montenegrin wine “Vranac”, ancient monasteries and fortresses, and excellent fishing place.
Often a visit to Lake Skadar begins with the city, or more precisely, with the Virpazar village, which is an unique fishing village. From Virpazar tourists go on a trip through Lake Skadar to enjoy the exotic views of the lake.
Excursions on Skadar Lake often include the city of Rijeka Crnojevic. This city is suitable for fish and fishing amateurs. The caught fish can be prepared especially for you in the restaurant.
Boka Kotorska bay
Boka Kotorska is extremely diverse, the routes of excursions are different in duration, and content. But Kotor is always the first point of any excursion in the amazing world of the bay.
The Old Town of Kotor is a medieval town protected by UNESCO and it is a large open-air museum.
The list of attractions of Kotor includes fortress walls towered up the slope of the mountain directly from the city, numerous palaces of noble citizens of different eras, ancient temples, interesting monuments of the Middle Ages.

Budva
Budva is considered to be the center of tourism in Montenegro in the meaning of entertainment – cafes, restaurants, nightlife, shopping and, of course, it will not be possible to avoid the Budva beaches.

Velika Plaža is a wide 15 km long beach to the mouth of the Bojana River. Clean sea, shallow and warm, hot clean sand and the whole range of beach entertainment – that’s what is Velika Plaža.
Ada Bojana is an island at the mouth of the Bojana River, a unique place for ecological recreation and fishing.
You can see the ruins of the Roman Dioclea (Duklja), visit the temple of St. George in the capital of Montenegro, Podgorica. Podgorica attracts shoppers, because there are many cafes and restaurants.
Bar, Herceg Novi, Tivat and other Montenegrin cities are wonderful destinations for tourism.
What type of excursions are there?

- individual, for a small group of tourists;
- and group excursions – for a large group of tourists.
Individual excursions are more expensive, group one are cheaper.

Group excursion by bus on information and impressions is not inferior to individual, but the route is cutter. You can buy a ticket for the group excursion in a couple of days before the excursion.
